Elana Jagoda Kaye is a cantorial soloist, music educator, performer and composer who brings soul and innovation to Jewish music.

She adds new dimensions to this music genre by blending her energetic folk-rock vibe with her passion for world music. She has revamped classic Jewish family songs with a funky-modern flavor and her musical recorded collections have been distributed nationally to families with young children through the through the PJ Library program, featured on several CD compilations including the URJ's Ruach series as well as with Craig Taubman's Jewish Lullabies.

As a staff member at Peninsula Temple Beth El, in San Mateo California she leads Shabbat and High Holy Day worship services, conducts tot-Shabbats, prepares students for B’nai Mitzvah and teaches students of all ages. Elana and her husband, Saul, have served as artists-in-residence for the Wexner institute and she plays rocking family concerts at synagogues, museums, camps, festivals and community centers across the country with her band.

Elana infuses a unique spiritual quality into the music she brings to both performance and prayer and she is currently studying in the ALEPH Cantorial Ordination Program.
