Meaningful music. Powerful prayer. Excellent education. Eliana Light brings Jewish passion in a pint-size package.

Raised in Memphis Tennessee on soul music and synagogue life, Eliana now sings and teaches all over the country. Her first CD of original Jewish music, A New Light, was released in 2013, and songs from that album have been included in compilations through NewCAJE New Voices and PJ Library.

Eliana’s music engage with Jewish holidays, history, language, tefillah, and Torah, all with a midrashic, interpretive, spin. It not only teaches in its own right, but empowers others to take ownership of their Judaism. In addition to writing music, Eliana loves song-leading, family services, personalized education programs, preschool music, traditional nusach and niggunim, Bnei Mitzvah training, working with innovative organizations like Bible Raps and G-dcast… all ways to foster connection and community through music.

She is currently the Director of Music Education at Park Avenue Synagogue in Manhattan while pursuing a masters in Experiential Jewish Education at the Jewish Theological Seminary.
