BimBam sparks connections to Judaism through digital storytelling.
Jill Slater lives in New York City. She grew up there but her hard core Brooklyn self was somewhat compromised and morphed by a decade spent in the Bay Area of Northern California. There she learned that the world is not made of concrete only, but rather incredibly soft things like moss and dirt. Trained as an urban planner, Jill loves cities, and loves to figure out how they tick. She also loves knowing where her food comes from and is working on how to get everyone to feel as passionate about local, sustainable, and non-industrial agriculture. Jill serves on the Executive Committee for the 2009 Hazon Food Conference as chair of the Programming Committee, writes a column about interior design for ApartmentTherapy.com, helps the USDA give out money to farmers markets, and documents life through writing, photography, the moving image, and sound.
