Maharat Rachel Kohl Finegold is the Director of Education & Spiritual Enrichment at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim in Montreal. Prior, she was Education & Ritual Director at Anshe Sholom B’nai Israel Conregation, where she held the Dr. Carol Fuchs Kaufman Rabbanit Chair.

Rachel received a B.A. in Religion from Boston University and completed the Drisha Institute Scholars Program. Her numerous years as a staff member at Camp Nesher in Pennsylvania, as well as other camp settings in the U.S. and abroad, have given her a passion for experiential Jewish education.

Rachel lives in Montreal with her husband, Rabbi Avi Finegold and their daughters Kinneret, Nedivah, and Hadar.
