From teaching in Hebrew schools and Hebrew high schools, to being a Jewish summer camp counselor, to staffing Birthright Israel trips, to serving as a Hillel rabbi on campus, to teaching Melton Adult Education courses, to serving in a traditional pulpit role, Rabbi Dan has been blessed to work in just about every Jewish educational setting imaginable, both formal and informal. He has officiated at numerous weddings, bar/bat mitzvahs, baby namings and circumcisions, and cherishes the ability to form meaningful relationships with people. Rabbi Dan is the Founding Director of The Well: an inclusive Jewish community-building, education and spirituality initiative geared to the needs of young adults and those who haven't connected with traditional institutions. The organization's core belief is that Jewish community, ethics, values, and spirituality can and should be directly applicable to our lives, and should drive us to positively impact the world around us. Rabbi Dan makes his home in Metro Detroit with his spouse Miriam and their children Jonah and Micah.
