BimBam sparks connections to Judaism through digital storytelling for learners of all ages.
Emily Shapiro Katz is a Jewish educator in Beer Sheva, Israel, who combines Jewish education, art, and community building. Emily has worked in a number of positions, including director of the Tauber program of Jewish studies at Congregation Emanu-El in San Francisco, and regional coordinator and employment adviser in the Nefesh B’Nefesh Go South program. She is a leader of the innovative community Kehilat Be'erot and teaches at the Nitivei Am school. She is currently blogging on a site called Yetzirah about weekly art lessons based on the parsha and parent-run workshops. The goal of both of these initiatives is to increase creativity, interactive learning, and community-building.
