Learn the Shehecheyanu: A Jewish Kids Sing-Along

Learn the Jewish prayer called Shehecheyanu (שהחינו‎, “Who has given us life”) with kids from the Wilderness Torah K-5 “B’hootz” Program. The Shehecheyanu is said to celebrate special occasions, and to be thankful for new and unusual experiences.

Shehecheyanu Transliterated Lyrics:

Baruch atah Adonai, Elohenu melekh ha’olam shehecheyanu veKiyemanu vehigi’anu lazeman hazeh.

Blessed are You, Adonai our God, Ruler of the Universe, who has granted us life, sustained us and enabled us to reach this season.

בָּרוּךְ אַתָּה יְיָ

אֱלֹהֵינוּ מֶלֶךְ הַעוֹלָם שֶׁהֶחֱיָנוּ וְקִיְּמָנוּ
