Yavneh Day School students studied the text for Bechukotai, wrote the songs, performed them, played the guitar, drew the backgrounds, and made the storyboards.
Then the BimBam staff handled the animation and final production.
This particular Parashat haShavua (פָּרָשַׁת הַשָּׁבוּעַ or “weekly Torah portion”) video helps translate the text of Parshat Bechukotai (בְּחֻקֹּתַי “by my decrees” Leviticus 26:3–27:34). Jewish interpretation is often very specific. There are a myriad of Jewish subcultures and people, and the interpretations in this video explores the array of thoughts that Yavneh Day School students have on Torah.
The development of Studio G-dcast was made possible in part by funds granted by the Covenant Foundation. The statements made and the views expressed in this individual project, however, are solely the responsibility of the artists and students at Yavneh Day School.
