Pairs Well: A Joyful Jewish History of Meat and Wine

Let’s all go to the movies and…learn about a Jewish history of meat and wine?

Here’s the rich and tender story of meaty connections to food through the ages, checking in with Noah, Nadav and Avihu, King Solomon, Rashi, and more!

The film was inspired by a famous discussion in the Babylonian Talmud about how meat and wine are part of joy in Judaism. “Ein Simcha Ela BeBasar Veyayin.”

This film was created with a cohort of 20-somethings during the Pastrami & Pinot happy hour series over Jewish deli and wine at Wise Sons, The Noir Lounge, and Faultline Studios in San Francisco.
